RE: SiteManager Terminal Servers and DWR Summary Report

Greetings

IT has succesfully installed the Micorsoft Office 2010 suite on the SiteManager terminal servers.

This information only applies to the DWR Summary report on the terminal servers for SiteManager.

The first time you access the DWR summary report on each of the three SiteManager terminal servers, now running Access 2010 ,you will be greeted with the message below. As you logon to the different servers during the day or week (TXDOT-TS1x, TXDOT-TS2, or TXDOT-TS3), you‘ll be asked to do this once for each.

Follow these two steps to navigate the security features and enable the DWR Summary macros.

1.       Macro security dialog box that prevents auto execution of the report’s macros. Choose the “Stop All Macros” option

2.       Next click on “Enable Content” button displayed with the security warning ribbon.

Thank you

Subject: SiteManager Terminal Servers and DWR Summary Report

IT is helping us update the SiteManager terminal servers to the office 2010 suite. In doing so they mistakenly removed Microsoft Access.

Until the three servers have MS Access restored the DWR Summary report will not open. Currently a request to view the report on the terminal server will result in a dialog screen that splashes a download status that ends with a successful download and no open report.

The workaround will be to access your local DWR Summary available through the XM shortcut. If you need assistance with this please reply to this email our phone our CMISD help desk. - (512) 416-2553

Thank you

SiteManager Key Dates - BRIDGE

Greetings,

The Bridge Division has moved to another method of collecting bridge opening, closing and clearance dates. The requirement outlined in the CST December 2010 memo to collect this data in SiteManager has now come to an end. CST or BRG will formally document this improvement in a new memo, but we want to informally notify you now of this change so you are familiar with the adjustments made recently in SiteManager.

No longer will you see the 78 different ‘bridge’ key dates listed as a key date type in the key date window**. Due to this removal, previous bridge key date records will not display a description. In their place you’ll see four character string similar to ‘XX01’ or ‘XX78’. Also, an open, close, or clearance description has been included with the ‘Message Text’ of the key date event (see picture below). Everything else remains intact and untouched.

Many of you that have diligently documented these events may, upon reading this note, have a sudden urge to do a little dance. We think that’s ok.

Thank you

**Active SiteManager sessions must  re-login to see this change.
